Chocolate Chunk Pecan Pie

Pecan pie filling on a bed of chocolate chunks. A touch of vanilla makes a truly decadent chocolate pecan pie dessert.
Ingredients -
 
3 Eggs
1/2 cup Sugar
1 cup Light Corn Syrup
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1/4 cup Butter, melted
1 cup Pecan Halves, coarsely choppped
3/4 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks
1 unbaked (9 inch) Deep-Dish Pastry Pie Shell
 
Preparation:
 
1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine the egg, sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, and butter in a mixing bowl, and whisk.

2. Fold in pecans. Mix well.

3. Spread chocolate chunks evenly in pie crust.

4. Bake 50 minutes. Check pie for doneness.

5. Cool on wire rack at least an hour. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
