Kentucky Pecan Pie

Delicious pie enhanced by the flavor of a kentucky bourbon. Flaky, buttery shortcrust pastry filled with thick rich pecan chocolate goodness.
Ingredients -
 
1 (9-inch) Unbaked One-Crust Pie Shell
2/3 cup Sugar
1/3 cup stick Margarine or Butter, melted
1 package (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
1 cup Corn Syrup
2 tablespoons bourbon
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs
1 cup pecan halves or broken pecans
 
Preparation:
 
Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Place pastry into pie plate.

Mix bourbon with corn syrup.

With whisk or hand beater, mix sugar, margarine, bourbon mixture, salt and eggs in medium bowl. Blend well.

Add pecans and chocolate pieces to mixture.

Pour pecan pie filling into pastry shell.

Bake 45 to 50 minutes, or until center is set.
