Orange Pecan Pie

Delicious twist to a classic favorite. This pie recipe is perfect year round, It makes an excellent brunch offering. The orange juice and zest give the pie a nice zing.
Ingredients -
 
3 Eggs
1/2 cup Molasses
1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
1/4 cup Orange Juice
1 teaspoon grated Orange Peel
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 1/2 cups Whole Pecan Halves
1 (9 inch) Unbaked Pie Shell
 
Preparation:
 
1. Preheat oven to 350 F.

2. Crack eggs in a large bowl, and beat slightly.

3. Add molasses, corn syrup, orange juice, orange peel, vanilla, and mix until well combined.

4. Add pecans to mixture.

5. Pour pecan pie filling into unbaked pie crust shell.

6. Bake 35 minutes, or until the filling sets.

7. Allow pie to cool on wire rack.
